Level Descriptions

Bandeja Padel – Beginner Level

This level corresponds to KNLTB ranking 8/9 and Playtomic ranking: 1 – 2.0 +/-

You have been playing for several months, around 1 to 2 times a week, or have been playing irregularly for 1 to 2 years or have some experience with a racket sport. You can hit a forehand, backhand, volleys, and a serve over the net.

After your serve, you stay in the backcourt. Points are often played from the backcourt. During serving, you and your opponent switch sides, just like in tennis.

Bandeja Padel – Intermediate Level

This level corresponds to KNLTB ranking 6/7 and Playtomic ranking: 2.5 – 4.

You already have quite a bit of playing experience and play at least once a week. You are practicing strokes such as bandeja, vibora, bajada, and chiquita and/or are starting to gain some control over them. You have control over basic strokes like the forehand, backhand, volleys, and serve.

You are starting to understand the tactics of the game better. After your serve, you immediately move up to the net and try to maintain the net position. During serving, the net player does not switch sides. When not serving, you try to gain the net position by playing a lob or chiquita. You also look at where your opponent is standing to determine where to hit the ball.
