Bandeja Padel – Level: Beginners
This level corresponds to KNLTB – ranking 8/9 and Playtomic – ranking: 1 – 2 +/-.
You have been playing for a few months, about 1 to 2 times a week, or you have been playing irregularly for 1/2 years or have some experience with racket sports. You are capable of hitting forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves over the net.
After your serve, you tend to stay in the backcourt. Points are often made from the backcourt. During serving, you and your opponent switch sides, just like in tennis.
Bandeja Padel – Level: Intermediate
This level corresponds to KNLTB – ranking 6/7 and Playtomic – ranking: 2.5 – 4 +/-.
You have considerable playing experience and play at least once a week. You are practicing strokes like bandeja, vibora, bajada, and chiquita and/or beginning to control them. You have control over basic strokes such as forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves.
You are increasingly understanding the game tactically. After your serve, you move directly to the net and try to maintain the net position. During serving, the net player does not switch sides. If you are not serving, you try to capture the net position by playing a lob or chiquita. You also observe where your opponent is to decide where to hit the ball.
Bandeja Padel – Level: Advanced
This level corresponds to KNLTB – ranking 4/5 and Playtomic – ranking: 4 +.
You have extensive playing experience and play at least twice a week. You regularly participate in tournaments and competitions. Besides the basic strokes, you have good control over padel-specific strokes such as bandeja, vibora, bajada, and chiquita. You also hit winners with a kick or power smash and occasionally hit them out of the court.
You are tactically well-versed. You try to build the point well, can change the pace during the rally, and score points at the right moment.
