Tournament Invitation
We are excited to invite you to the Bandeja Padel Tournament at ZUITNL in Etten-Leur (North Brabant) on Saturday, February 22nd! 🎾
Here are all the details you need to join:
🗓️ Date: Saturday, February 22nd
⏰ Time: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
📍 Location: Trivium 120, 4873 LP Etten-Leur
📈 Levels: This time, we have three categories: Beginner (KNLTB 8/9), Intermediate (KNLTB 6/7), and Advanced (KNLTB 4/5). Please register only for the level that matches your ranking or one that you’re confident suits your skills. We want to ensure the levels are as accurate as possible. Not sure which category to choose? Let us know, and we’ll help you find the best fit. Detailed explanations of the levels are provided below.
This tournament does NOT count towards the KNLTB ranking, and you do NOT need a ranking or KNLTB membership to participate.
Format: You will play all your matches at the level you registered for. Each match lasts 30 minutes. Every participant will play at least three group-phase matches of 30 minutes each (1.5 hours total). After the group phase, semi-finals (30 minutes) and finals (30 minutes) will be held for each category. We also often organize consolation rounds for players who don’t advance beyond the group phase.
💰 Cost: €50 per team (€25 per person).
👫 You will play all matches with the partner you registered with.
Winners in all categories will receive exciting prizes.
Level Explanations
Bandeja Padel – Beginner Level
This level corresponds approximately to KNLTB ranking 8/9 and Playtomic ranking 1 – 2 +/-.
- You’ve been playing for a few months (around 1-2 times per week) or irregularly for 1-2 years.
- You have some racket sport experience and can hit a forehand, backhand, volley, and serve.
- After serving, you tend to stay at the baseline. Points are often scored from the back of the court.
- When serving, you and your partner alternate sides, just like in tennis.
Bandeja Padel – Intermediate Level
This level corresponds approximately to KNLTB ranking 6/7 and Playtomic ranking 2.5 – 4 +/-.
- You have significant playing experience and play at least once a week.
- You are practicing advanced techniques like the bandeja, vibora, bajada, and chiquita and are beginning to gain control over them.
- You have mastered basic strokes such as forehand, backhand, volley, and serve.
- You are developing tactical awareness. After serving, you move directly to the net and aim to maintain the net position. During your partner’s serve, the net player does not switch sides.
- When not serving, you aim to win the net position through lobs or chiquitas and consider your opponents’ positions to decide your shots.
