This level is comparable to KNLTB ranking 8/9 and Playtomic rating 1–2 (+/-).
You have been playing for a few months, about 1–2 times per week, or have been playing irregularly for around half a year, or you have some experience with a racket sport. You are able to hit forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves over the net.
After your serve, you tend to stay at the back of the court. Most points are played from the back. During serving, you and your opponent switch sides, just like in tennis.
This level is comparable to KNLTB ranking 6/7 and Playtomic rating 2.5–4 (+/-).
You already have solid playing experience and play at least once per week. You are practicing shots such as the bandeja, vibora, bajada, and chiquita and are starting to gain control over them. You have good control of the basic strokes, such as forehand, backhand, volleys, and serve.
You are starting to understand the tactical side of the game better. After your serve, you move forward to the net and try to maintain that position. During serving, the net player does not switch sides. When returning, you try to take over the net position by playing a lob or chiquita. You also observe your opponent’s positioning to decide where to place the ball.
This level is comparable to KNLTB ranking 4/5 and Playtomic rating 4+.
You have a lot of playing experience and play at least twice per week. You regularly participate in tournaments and competitions. In addition to the basic strokes, you have strong control over padel-specific shots such as the bandeja, vibora, bajada, and chiquita. You can hit winners with a kick or power smash and occasionally hit the ball out of the court.
You are tactically strong. You build points effectively, vary the pace during rallies, and finish points at the right moments.
