📈 Levels: This time we have three categories: Beginner (KNLTB 8/9), Intermediate (KNLTB 6/7), and Advanced (KNLTB 4/5).
During the group stage, we aim to split the Beginner category into level 8 and level 9 groups, so players get more balanced and enjoyable matches. We will try to do the same for the other categories as well.
Please only register for a level if you genuinely fit within that category or currently hold that ranking, as we want to keep the levels as accurate and reliable as possible. If you are unsure which category suits you best, feel free to contact us and we’ll help you determine the right level. A detailed explanation of the levels can be found below.
Format: You will play all matches within the category you registered for. Each match lasts 30 minutes. Everyone is guaranteed a group stage consisting of 3 x 30-minute matches. After the 1.5-hour group stage, semi-finals of 30 minutes will be played, followed by a 30-minute final for each category separately.
💰 Costs: €50 per team, so €25 per person.
👫 You will play all matches with the partner you register with.
The winners of each category will receive great prizes.
*Match schedules and further information will be sent by email one day before the tournament.
*Times may slightly change depending on the number of registrations.
This level is comparable to KNLTB ranking 8/9 and Playtomic rating 1 – 2 +/-.
You have been playing for a few months, around 1–2 times per week, or have played irregularly for 1–2 years, or have some experience in another racket sport. You are able to hit forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves over the net.
After serving, you usually stay at the back of the court. Most points are also played from the back of the court. During serving, both you and your opponents switch sides after each point, similar to tennis.
This level is comparable to KNLTB ranking 6/7 and Playtomic rating 2.5 – 4 +/-.
You already have quite a bit of playing experience and play at least once per week. You are practicing shots such as the bandeja, vibora, bajada, and chiquita and/or are starting to gain control over them. You have solid control over the basic shots such as forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves.
You are beginning to understand the tactical side of the game better. After serving, you move directly towards the net and try to maintain the net position. During the serve, the net player does not switch sides. When returning, you try to gain the net position through a lob or chiquita. You also start paying attention to your opponents’ positioning to decide where to place the ball.
This level is comparable to KNLTB ranking 4/5 and Playtomic rating 4+.
You have extensive playing experience and play at least twice per week. You regularly participate in tournaments and competitions. Besides the basic shots, you also have good control over padel-specific shots such as the bandeja, vibora, bajada, and chiquita. You are also able to hit winners with kick smashes or power smashes and occasionally hit them out of the cage.
You have a strong tactical understanding of the game. You know how to build up points effectively, vary the tempo during rallies, and finish points at the right moment.
