Comparable to:
KNLTB ranking: 8/9
Playtomic ranking: ~1 – 2
You’ve been playing for a few months, around once or twice per week, or perhaps for 1–2 years irregularly. You may have some prior experience with racket sports.
You can hit forehands, backhands, volleys, and serves over the net.
After serving, you tend to stay at the back of the court, and points are usually played from the baseline. During service games, you and your partner switch sides after each point, just like in tennis.
Comparable to:
KNLTB ranking: 6/7
Playtomic ranking: ~2.5 – 4
You’ve got decent playing experience and usually play at least once a week.
You’re working on padel-specific shots like the bandeja, víbora, bajada, and chiquita, and may already have some control over them.
You have a solid grip on the basics (forehand, backhand, volleys, serve), and you’re starting to understand the game tactically.
After serving, you move up to the net and try to maintain that position.
The server’s partner does not switch sides.
When receiving, you try to win the net position with a lob or chiquita. You’re also learning to place shots based on where your opponents are standing.
