Comparable to KNLTB ranking 8/9 and Playtomic rating 1–2 (+/-).
You have been playing padel for a few months, about one or two times per week, or have been playing irregularly for around six months. You may also have some experience with another racket sport. You are able to hit a forehand, backhand, volley, and serve over the net.
After serving, you usually stay at the back of the court. Most points are played from the baseline. During service games, you and your partner switch sides after every game, just like in tennis.
Comparable to KNLTB ranking 6/7 and Playtomic rating 2.5–4 (+/-).
You already have solid playing experience and play at least once per week. You are practising shots such as the bandeja, víbora, bajada, and chiquita, and are beginning to gain control over them. You have good control of the basic strokes, including the forehand, backhand, volleys, and serve.
You are developing a better tactical understanding of the game. After serving, you move directly to the net and try to maintain that position. During service games, the net player does not switch sides. When returning serve, you try to take control of the net by playing a lob or chiquita. You also pay attention to your opponents’ positioning to decide where to place the ball.
Comparable to KNLTB ranking 4/5 and Playtomic rating 4+.
You have extensive playing experience and play at least twice per week. You regularly participate in tournaments and competitions. In addition to the basic strokes, you have excellent control over padel-specific shots such as the bandeja, víbora, bajada, and chiquita. You are also able to hit winners using kick smashes or power smashes and occasionally hit the ball out of the court.
You have a strong tactical understanding of the game. You build points intelligently, vary the pace during rallies, and know exactly when to finish the point.
